In every true sense of the word, Darey is a charismatic and innovative performer who has impressed consistently over the years and shared the stage with the biggest of stars including Jay Z, Beyoncé, Cardi B, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Sean Paul, Burna Boy, Wizkid and so many more. He’s also a trained thespian with a few credits to his name.
His early days saw him starting from a production studio at Cool Fm, a major Lagos based radio station. Darey went on to host the most listened to shows across prime time belts and became one of the most prominent voices on the airwaves. He also became a highly sought after voice over artist, MC and events host and eventually transitioned into TV land by starring as a host/judge/coach on some of the biggest TV franchises; Project Fame, Idol, The Voice and many others.
Darey is multiple creative moving parts all rolled in one. His outstanding and seasoned talent as a singer/songwriter, entertainer, instrumentalist, creative director, voice-over artist, fashion icon, radio/tv presenter, actor has been brought to bear in executing several cutting edge and groundbreaking, internationally recognized platforms such as Love Like A Movie, Livespot X Festival, Born In Africa and several others.
Co-founded Livespot360, a 360 creative collective known for top notch services in Creative Advertising & Media, Experiential Marketing, Entertainment platforms, TV Production & Tech Innovation and responsible for incredible experiences such as the Heineken UCL Trophy Tour with FC Barcelona legend Carles Puyol, The Livespot X Festival featuring Cardi B, Love Like A Movie 1,2 & 3 amongst several others.
Coming off the heels of the recently submitted report by the hand-picked creative and tourism industry covid-19 committee constituted by the Nigerian Presidency in which Darey played a highly pivotal role, he brought his weight to bear on the solutions proffered as the report looked into the immediate impact of the virus on the entirety of the creative industry with practical short, mid and long term recommendations to government.
Darey has also joined forces with the University of Oxford Blavatnik School of Government (UK) on a social transformational change project in Nigeria. A project that has brought some of the brightest minds together to create an ongoing social vaccine that can deal with lingering issues.
Darey recently assembled top influential artists to form a coalition that will lend its collective voice against societal ills such as rape, police brutality amongst other issues.
